Welcome improvements to NDIS Portal

If you are self-managing your NDIS Plan, then you will appreciate (as do we!) the introduction of some new user-friendly features on the NDIS Portal.

The NDIA have recognised limitations of the myplace portal, and have worked to counter some of the main issues experienced by users through:

Streamlining the booking process. The improved portal functionality now enable users to make changes to service bookings, without having to wait for the NDIA to process. This will speed up the process considerably for many and provide a greater degree of flexibility in managing Plan supports. Changes can now be made to any bookings created since 9th July 2018.

Enabling participants to find providers more easily. The enhanced myplace Provider Finder, including map-based location services, will assist users to quickly find and locate various service providers within proximity to their home.

These changes are hoped to be the just the start of a process of improvement by the NDIA that will provide a better (and more streamlined) user experience.
