Introducing Assured’s Home & Garden Maintenance Services.
As we officially come into Winter, the shorter days and cold dreary weather make the idea of getting out into the garden or addressing those nagging home maintenance jobs very unappealing.
Fortunately, you’ll no longer have to think about that, as we’re very pleased to announce that Assured will be providing direct services in home and garden maintenance!
This new service will be available to any NDIS Participant who has gardening/maintenance services included in their plan, or individuals over 65+ in need of services, including those with CHSP funding.
The team has been active since the beginning of the year, servicing Assured’s own Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation units as well as select local government clients receiving Home Support services.
Feedback from clients indicating a need for increased services will see our team expand in the coming months.
According to Brad Mumford, Executive Manager at Assured,
“We became aware that many of our clients were requiring some assistance with home and garden maintenance but were struggling to engage the services of commercial companies.”
“Many simply do not have the experience working for people living with a disability and couldn’t understand the needs of our clients,” he says.
Room to grow
“We are excited to provide this new service,” says Brad.
“And, our ultimate aim is to scale it up to provide future employment opportunities for people with lived experience of a disability, to provide skills training and mentoring to enable full participation in the workforce,” he says.
“Our long-term goal is to become a fully accredited traineeship provider and assist our clients in gaining qualifications and potential career pathways.”

If you are looking for some support outside the home, our friendly and professional staff are now servicing the Adelaide Metro area and will be more than happy to help out with:
- Minor repairs, light globes, smoke detectors, leaking taps etc
- Installation of hand-rails and accessible aids
- Gutter cleaning
- Cutting back trees and shrubs
- Rubbish / hard waste collection
- Window cleaning
- Air conditioner filter cleaning
- Gardening
- And more!
